Our garden in autumn is quite romantic. Enjoy relaxing in nature with your family or friends.
We try to create a family atmosphere and a sense of cleanliness.
This year, winter was beautiful, and our guest house was quaintly covered in snow.
The “MARTINKA” Guest House commenced operations in Spring 2017, after a family home was reconstructed. It is located in the town of Háje, about 7 km from the spa quarter in Karlovy Vary and 500 m from a golf course. The guest house is meant to accommodate a maximum of 8 people + 1 extra bed, and it specialises in accommodating groups. Of course, accommodated guests have free WiFi internet access.
Smoking is forbidden in the guest house, except for those places specially designated for this purpose. Pets are not allowed.

Although Karlovy Vary was established by King and Emperor Charles IV already in 1350, the news about the salubrious effects of the local thermal and mineral springs did not spread around the world until the 18th and 19th centuries. However, since that time, the flow of guests has not stopped, and today, Karlovy Vary is rightfully one of the best-known spas in Europe.
The Ohře Cycle Path is connected to the Wallenstein Cycle Path, marked in Bavaria as the Wallenstein-Radweg (Eger-Wondreb-Kösseine) Cycle Path. After crossing the border to the Czech Republic, the path is marked as Cycle Path No. 6. You can commence your bicycle rides on marked cycle paths near the Martinka Guest House.
In 2015, this club celebrated 110 years of its existence within the Gejzírpark Complex in Karlovy Vary. Thanks to its location, it is one of the most beautiful tennis courts in the Czech Republic, and is located only 4.6km from our Martinka Guest House. Aside from the gorgeous natural scenery, every visitor will find a sufficient amount of tennis courts, club facilities, as well as a well-equipped restaurant.
The natural high-ropes centre has been in operation since 2012, and is located in the spa forests of Karlovy Vary, 7.3 km from our Martinka Guest House. The natural high-ropes centre is a great destination for family and school trips, but also for groups of sports enthusiasts who like to test their physical and mental boundaries. The St. Linhart Natural High-Ropes Centre offers circuits of high-ropes obstacles for children and adults, low rope obstacles, as well as top-rope obstacles. Trained instructors carefully oversee the park’s activities.
The Climbing Wall in Karlovy Vary. The climbing wall is located 11 km from our guest house in Karlovy Vary – Dvory, and offers about 550 m2 of climbing on perpendicular, overhanging, and ceiling profiles. At its highest point, the wall is 11m tall. On a floor-plan of 8 x 11m, there are 30 climbing paths, consisting of more than 100 routes of all difficulties. These routes are regularly changed.
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic and the most prestigious film festival in Central and Eastern Europe. It is one of the oldest A-list film festivals (i.e. non-specialized festivals with a competition for feature-length fiction films), a category it shares with the festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, and Tokyo, for example.
The annual largest triathlon event in the Czech Republic. Races for children, for adult participants that consider triathlons a “hobby”, but also for the greatest professional stars of Olympic triathlons. Karlovy Vary is the matter of the heart for numerous Czech and European triathlete stars, who regularly return to the largest Czech spa for the very difficult, yet fair course.
Karlovy Vary is one half a spa, and the other half a city that is the promised land for film-makers. At the same time, however, it forms the backdrop for one of the most picturesque ½ marathons in the world. 21 kilometres and 97.5 metres will quickly pass by and will refresh your soul. Come to Karlovy Vary, and you will not find a race, but a treasure.
